I See Myself In You
I See Myself In You explores identity from the perspective of an individual in relationship to a community of individuals. In this work, pattern and repetition are the formal elements that I use as metaphors for the understanding of one identity in relation to another. It is through comparison that we are able to define our distinct characteristics and find similarities.
This installation includes worked created by the following methods: powdered graphite screen-printed on mud-washed fabric, washing boards, copper printed portraits, and etched mirrors.
